Gather, Grow and Glow

Here we go! The Dragonfly Movement is launching! (high pitched scream and a happy dance)

I cannot tell you how excited I am to have this platform for women and girls to gather, grow and glow.

The pull to focus on empowerment was conceived during the most challenging year for me – a time that required me to face my truth. My choices created pain for a lot of people I loved. It tore me apart with doubt, fear, and heartbreak. I was stripped down to a raw place of vulnerability. I was standing at a fork on the road map of my life faced with a choice. I could continue down the path I was on to keep the peace for all those around me or honor my heart – wherever that may lead.

I chose me.

I chose to be authentic.

I chose to face fear.

I chose to surrender to the unknown outcome.

I chose to trust.

I chose me.

I’ve learned to seek out and appreciate the gifts that come with pain, struggle or challenge. Gifts in the form of insights, clarity and wisdom. The friends who show up and listen again and again and again.  The family that stands by you. The little gems that you become deeply grateful for. The small changes that slowly creep into your everyday, like small seeds that are watered daily with just a little bit of strength. Some days there’s no water to give and that’s ok – but little by little the growth begins.

I’ve also learned a lot about fear. I know that the fears you have holding you back are never as horrific as you’ve played out in your mind – never! It takes courage but it’s so worth it to face those suckers head on. Because once you do, you look back and cannot believe you used to be so afraid.

Stand tall in your truth, dig deep, know what’s important to you, conduct yourself with Grace and feel ecstatic about your life and the direction it’s flowing.

Be Whole – learn to access your joy from within. Because once you can do that, you are not relying on anyone else or anything external to bring you happiness. It’s powerful, it’s empowering and it’s hot!
